Meghan Skelton brings an elite playing background and a nationally respected coaching résumé to the court. A decorated Division I outside hitter at Sacred Heart University and a standout at St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs, Meghan turned her passion for the game into a legendary coaching career at Fairfield Ludlowe High School in Connecticut.
With 23 years of coaching experience, Meghan earned Coach of the Year honors nine times, led teams to multiple state Final Four appearances, and captured a State Championship. Throughout her career, she has been committed to developing athletes not only as competitors but as confident teammates and resilient individuals. I believe defense wins championships, and strong fundamentals paired with mental toughness are the foundation of long-term success.
Now based in Texas, Meghan coaches club volleyball while also leading 3C Counseling & Performance in Frisco, where she blends her expertise as a licensed mental health therapist and athlete performance coach. Her high-energy coaching style, fierce love for the game, and emphasis on mental strength help athletes stay technically sound and emotionally prepared. My mission is to keep athletes mentally strong, technically sharp, and in love with the game for life.
Meghan and her husband Chris—a former Division I volleyball player and sports chiropractor—are proud parents of three, with two already following in their footsteps by setting, passing, and chasing their own volleyball dreams.
Coaching Philosophy
Meghan’s coaching philosophy is built on a foundation of strong fundamentals, mental toughness, and a belief that defense wins championships. Drawing from her experience as a Division I athlete, seasoned coach, and licensed mental health therapist, she takes a holistic approach to development—focusing on both skill and mindset. Meghan creates a high-energy, supportive environment where athletes are challenged to grow, build confidence, and stay resilient under pressure, with the goal of helping them become mentally strong, technically sound, and lifelong lovers of the game.
