Macey Winburn brings passion, international experience, and a strong developmental mindset to her coaching at 1United Volleyball. A setter for most of her 14-year playing career, Macey competed at a high level and qualified for Nationals seven times. She continued her career at DBU before taking her game overseas, playing professionally in Italy for Città Futura and the Rome City Institute.

Macey began coaching in 2018 and stepped into her first head coaching role in 2019. Since then, she has developed a reputation for building confident, well-rounded athletes. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and earned her Master’s in Sports Management in 2023 from the Rome City Institute.

Macey is especially passionate about working with younger athletes, finding joy in their growth from the first practice to the last. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, strategic understanding, and confidence-building. Beyond the court, she is dedicated to mentoring her players and helping them grow into not only better athletes, but better people.
