Coaching Philosophy

Coach Courtney believes that talent isn’t everything. The most important aspect of any sport is working hard. Having the right effort, work ethic and attitude is worth a lot more than talent, and it will take you places that talent can’t get you.

There will always be ups and downs when competing at higher levels and it’s easy to lose sight of your ‘why’.

“Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back… play for her.”

-Mia Hamm
